One of my Favorite Children's Stories Commercialized

Here's a new favorite commercial of mine... always brings a smile to my face:)

The 3 Little Pigs was never so funny. Who knew I would actually like a Geico commercial??

2 Month Update

So it's been about two months since my last post and I can't believe how quickly the time has passed. Work has been fun but intense as I've been given a lot of responsibility early on. There have been a lot of changes going on in my department, so it's been learning how to swim in the deep end as quickly as possible. In the middle of October we had our biannual meeting for the product lines for the Fall/Winter 2011-- I can't wait til the products get out in the market! Part of the learning has been thinking at least 2 years in advance for planning but still remembering the day to day things happening in 2010. In addition to working in Key Account Marketing, I've been helping out in Brand Marketing as well. Right after the biannual meeting, I flew home for the weekend for Abby and Andrew's wedding. It was a crazy weekend, but well worth the 51 hours I was on the ground. The ceremony was wonderful and the party, amazing. They redefined "backyard wedding" with the tent in the Berman backyard.

Coming back to Germany, work has kept me busy and now I feel somewhat settled in to my life here in Nuremberg. At least I don't have to make any more trips to the Town Hall for the time being.

The next step is learning some German so I can actually communicate-- this and a lack of a car are 2 of the most frustrating things about my time here. As generous as people have been, and as great as it has been to get to know people on the way to work, I look forward to the day when I can drive myself to work on my schedule... after I learn how to drive manual that is....But before I can start looking for a car, the focus is finding a full time position...somewhere in the world. Only if that happens, will I then start seriously thinking about buying a car so I don't need to find a ride everyday-- that will be quite a stress relief.

Also, there have been quite a number of goodbye parties including my ESADE family who left Nuremberg at the end of September to go back to school. I feel like I've been to more goodbye parties than regular parties, but that's what happens when you're friends with so many interns.

One party that was not a "goodbye" one was when I celebrated my birthday. The only "goodbye" I said was to 27 by celebrating with my new adidas family at one of my favorite bars in Nuremberg called Backerhof and then we went to one of the popular clubs in the city called Indaban (translation: in the train station)-- where as you can guess, the club was in the train station. We partied until 5:45am which is a very good showing for this country, but it is hard to compare to my recent birthdays in Barcelona, celebrating with 3 other friends and the rest of our classmates. All the same, it was nice to get a group of people together and have the chance to celebrate 28:) Who knows where my 29th will be....

During the weekends I've been able to do some traveling, visiting Stuttgart with Tania, Munich with Mom, Dad, Rob and Rex for Rob's 25th birthday, Rothenberg with Ander and Bamberg on my own. My list of places to visit is still growing, now including Cologne, Dresden, Munich (for longer period of time, seeing Crazy Ludwig's Castle), Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Barcelona... just need to be better in my planning!

This week is going to be another crazy travel week-- I'm heading to Amsterdam on Monday night to meet with the part of the Sales team that is based there and then on Friday I am heading back to the US for another 51 hours for Kaity and Ryan's wedding. Should be another wonderful weekend back in the US-- I can't wait!

Hopefully it won't be another 2 months until my next entry, but I will post any updates on the job front as they come in...
