Why So Small?

I miss refrigerators. It's a funny thing to miss, but it was one of the shocks I encountered when looking for apartments here. Fridges are ridiculously small in Germany. I’m not even asking for a huge US fridge. I’ll settle for a Spanish-sized fridge. My German fridge is about the size of the one I had in college. I actually think the freezer in my college fridge/freezer was larger. How do Germans even have dinner parties??
